Stem Cells for Spinal Cord Injury Treatment
Spinal Cord Injury Stem Cell?
The Solution is Mesenchymal Stem Cell
What is Stem Cells? Help Spinal Cord Injury?
Yes. Mesenchymal Stem Cell (MSCs) have anti-inflammatory properties, promoting vascular regeneration and the release neuro-nutrients. Spinal cord injury (SCI) has considerable impact on patient physical, mental, and financial health. Secondary SCI is associated with inflammation, vascular destruction, and subsequent permanent damage to the nervous system.
Mesenchymal Stem Cell have been reported to improve the American Spinal Injury Association (ASIA) sensory and motor scores.
The ability of MSCs to improve ASIA sensory and motor scores in patients with SCI has been widely demonstrated. These cells also promote the recovery of bladder function and neurological symptoms. This makes MSC therapy a promising approach for treating spinal cord injuries.
Current evidence showed that 70% of patients with spinal cord injury (SCI) could benefit from stem cell therapy.
Data of at Spinal Cord Injury Stem Cells
A blood sample from the patient is required at least 3 hours before the procedure to sensitize the MSCs with the patient’s serum. Preferably, the blood sample should be taken one day prior. This allows sufficient time for preparation and ensures optimal results. If the patient is local and only receiving MSC treatment, it may be more convenient to schedule the sampling one day before the procedure. This minimizes logistical challenges and provides a smoother treatment process.
*Important; patients must pay in full 5 days prior to their scheduled treatment date to ensure fresh mesenchymal stem cell.
None of the patients have had any side effects as a result of the administration of mesenchymal stem cell.
